Nothing but good results in Belgium for the team
Nicolas Vouilloz completed the Peugeot Belgium-Luxemburg Team one-two finish at Rally Ypres last Saturday, adding to Freddy Loix's historic achievement of winning the Belgian event for a fifth time.

Despite going off-road Saturday morning, Frenchman Vouilloz was able to quickly recuperate at the controls of his 207 S2000 and claim the second step of the podium.

"I started out with lesser pace than Freddy," admitted Vouilloz. "Afterwards, when everyhing went well, I could only just do as well as he did."

"I wasn't thinking of catching him but rather aiming at increasing the advantage over my rivals when the front of the car plunged into a ditch at 10kph,"
he related.

In the rally world, the solidarity of fans is well-known; with the help of several spectators, the Peugeot was back on its route a minute later. Vouilloz had fallen down to fourth in the overall standings, but four stages later he had returned to second position.

"I'm really satisfied with this first one-two for the Peugeot Belgium-Luxemburg team and delighted with my second place," stated Vouilloz. "My ranking (in Ypres) allows me to get nearer to first place in the IRC's provisional standings."

Adding to the general good feeling within the team, Vouilloz was just as proud for his Belgian teammate's record-breaking victory on home soil: "Freddy's triumph is totally deserved. He's really untouchable at home."
