Some different action for the Citroen driver
At a display in Madrid that formed part of the 2008 Red Bull X-Fighters tour, Dani Sordo and the Citroën C4 WRC captivated huge crowds with a stunning demonstration that opened the show.

Following on from Fort Worth in the United States, then Mexico City and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, the Spanish capital hosted the fourth round of the International Freestyle Motocross competition organised by Red Bull.

As part of the partnership that has linked Citroën with the Austrian energy drinks firm since the Argentina Rally in March this year, Dani Sordo, Marc Martí and their Citroën C4 WRC were invited to take part. For both the Spanish crew and for Citroën, the event marked a historic first.

In front of an enthusiastic crowd of 25,000 motorsport fans, Dani had the privilege of kicking off the show to spectacular effect. In the spiritual home of bullfighting, the Citroën driver mastered his C4 like a skilful torero, making it dance with grace and artistry.
As the opening act he performed several doughnuts – thrilling the capacity crowds with the roar of the Citroën's engine.

Sordo, who is currently fifth in the FIA World Rally Championship, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the welcome afforded to both himself and his co-driver Marc Martí, as well as to their Citroën C4 WRC that was resplendent in its Red Bull livery. Afterwards, the rally stars stayed on to watch the Motocross riders demonstrate their skills: another truly impressive spectacle.
